Incorporating a traditional timber frame into your renovation, extension or new build project will bring timeless elegance and value to your property. In my opinion, nothing can bring as much character and warmth to a space quite like a handcrafted frame. With careful planning they can also be a cost effective option but the key drivers of cost are materials and complexity, not always size!

I hold a strong belief that we need to promote more sustainable construction methods in the UK and choosing to build with a structural timber frame is a very environmentally conscious decision. A well designed timber frame can last for centuries and will lock-up or sequester carbon dioxide for as long as they stand, think of the many medieval structures we can still see surviving today. I always use sustainably managed timber and try to source as locally as possible.
